“I want to go down in the history books. I just want to be remembered.“
Hong Kong pro Danny Tang is a highly respected poker player with a wealth of experience and success in the poker industry and who has been consistently ranked as one of the best Asian players around. With over $13 million in lifetime earnings and multiple major tournament victories to his name, Danny is widely regarded as one of the top players in the game today.
Based in Macau, Danny has competed in some of the world’s most prestigious poker events, including the World Series of Poker, the European Poker Tour, and the Asia Pacific Poker Tour.
In May 2019, he earned his first-ever seven figures payout, resulting in his best live cash of $1.8 million 2nd place at the HK$1,000,000 Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Main Event in Montenegro. In the same year, he won his first-ever WSOP bracelet win at the 2019 World Series of Poker (Event 90: $50,000 No Limit Hold’em), making him the second WSOP bracelet winner from Hong Kong and the first among Natural8’s Team Hot to do so.
“I think in general in the high stakes community, a lot of people have won a bunch of stuff, whereas I am relatively new to the community and it's the first No-Limit Hold'em bracelet for Hong Kong. It's a dream come true.“
The following year after his first WSOP bracelet win, he secured a breakout win at the PokerStars Championship Prague, winning €381,000 in the €10,300 High Roller. Since then, he has continued to excel in high roller events. In 2018, he finished fourth in the EPT Prague High Roller for €197,720.
His wins include the 2023 Triton Super High Roller Series (Event 11: $25,000 No Limit Short Deck), where he defeated fellow professional poker players such as Stephen Chidwick, Michael Watson, and Isaac Haxton.
Danny has had an incredible streak of 'running good' throughout 2023. From securing the championship title in the $50,000 + $3,000 No Limit Hold'em - 8-Handed (Event #9) at the Triton Super High Roller Series in Monte Carlo to consistently cashing in multiple prestigious events, including the $100,000 + $6,000 No Limit Hold'em - 8-Handed (Event #6) and the $200,000 + $10,000 No Limit Hold'em - The Special Triton Invitational (Event #1), among numerous others. Danny Tang's incredible accomplishments throughout the year truly made 2023 a remarkable and unforgettable chapter in his poker career.
