Nevan Yu-Chung Chang - From Esports to Poker
Before embarking on his journey in poker, Taiwanese talent Yu-Chung Chang aka Nevan made a name for himself as a respected e-sports player. However, destiny took a turn during a fateful trip to Seoul, shifting his career path to the exhilarating world of professional poker. .
Born with a natural talent for the game, Nevan has honed his poker skills to perfection over the years, making a name for himself on the international poker circuit. His expertise even led him to become a poker lecturer at Ace8 Association as well as a guest lecturer at the poker associations of National Taiwan University and National Chengchi University and as a reviewer for a TV program review - “Who Is The Poker King”.
Nevan’s poker journey has seen numerous successes, and he has consistently displayed his poker prowess in high-profile tournaments, amassing substantial earnings and becoming a prominent figure in the poker community.

Notable Achievements
Ever since his first cash in the HK$ 1,800 + 200 No Limit Hold'em - Midnight Turbo Asia Championship of Poker back in January 2017, Nevan has not slowed down at all, amassing 165 cash-ins, including 23 cash-ins at the World Series of Poker (WSOP), to date.
In January 2023, Nevan competed in the NT$ 100,000 No Limit Hold'em - JHR High Roller Single Day 8Max (CTP Championship Series x Japan HighRoller) and won his first 1st place of the year. From there, he continued to play in various tournaments, including the World Poker Tour Prime in Cambodia, the HKPPA Premier League, and the Asian Poker Tour in Taiwan.
Nevan's biggest live cash this year, as well as to date, came in the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Taipei High Roller 8-Max event in May 2023. He outplayed a tough field to secure the top spot, demonstrating his exceptional skills and taking home NT$ 1,967,880 ($64,153) in tournament winnings. Not long later, Nevan played in the 54th WSOP - The Closer (Bracelet Event 88), where his skills and tenacity earned him a respectable 16th-place finish ($29,910) in the highly coveted bracelet event.
After 6 cash-ins at the live 54th WSOP in Las Vegas, including the $5,000 No Limit Hold'em, Nevan flew to Da Nang, Vietnam to participate in the APT Summer Series Da Nang. In just a few days, Nevan has cashed in multiple times, including an impressive $56,217 and $25,907 when he was placed 4th at the APT Main Event (Event #19) and 1st at the Last Chance High Roller (Event #58) respectively.
In addition to these achievements, Nevan also had two notable successes at the APT Incheon 2023 in South Korea. He first finished runner-up out of 82 players in the Midnight Tick-Tock (Event #32), claiming KRW 2,860,000 for his efforts before claiming first place at the APT Incheon Last Chance High Roller event, where he collected KRW 61,934,000 for his efforts (~$47,069).

Hua Wei Lin
The other half of the “WinPoker Couple”, Hua-Wei Lin aka Weiwei, is a poker talent in her own right. In a world dominated by men, she brings grace, wit, and charm to the poker world.

Weiwei's journey to poker excellence began in 2016, with her first cash-in achieved through a 6th place finish in the Super Deep Stack Turbo (Event #11) - APT Macau. Since then, her poker career has been marked by unwavering determination, resulting in an impressive 117 cash-ins.
Her participation in the 54th World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas is a testament to her ambition and drive to challenge herself against the best players in the world. In the WSOP $1,000 No Limit Hold'em Ladies Championship (Bracelet Event 67), Weiwei showcased her competitive spirit and determination by securing a 23rd-place finish.
One of Weiwei's defining characteristics as a poker player is her consistency across different formats and buy-ins. Her victory in the NT$ 2,000 No Limit Hold'em Deepstacks event during the 2023 CTP Taipei Weekly Tournaments (March) is a testament to her adaptability and skill in deep-stacked play. Notably, her achievements extend beyond this, encompassing a remarkable victory in the NT$ 25,000 No Limit Hold'em - #3 SPL Main Event, presented by the esteemed Singapore Poker League in Taipei City on April 2023. Emerging as the undeniable victor, she not only claimed the coveted title but also amassed NT$ 509,000 (equivalent to $16,708) in prize money. Such versatility has allowed her to tackle various tournament structures and opponents with confidence and success.
A few months later, at the APT Incheon 2023 in South Korea, Weiwei topped a field of 56 competitors in the APT Incheon #47 Women’s Event and claimed the top prize of KRW 5,875,200 as well as her third APT title.
