Bad Beat Jackpot
Bad Beat Jackpot
If life gives you lemons, make lemonade! If life gives you bad beats, there’s the Bad Beat Jackpot! Let us offer a dash of comfort and a hint of relief for those heartbreaking moments.
What is a Bad Beat
Have you ever had a strong hand that you think would win the pot but it doesn’t? Play poker long enough and you’ll have one or two of those heartbreaking moments. Now you can turn those bad beats into a winning hand with the Bad Beat Jackpot. The Bad Beat Jackpot offers relief for Hold’em, Omaha (PLO, PLO5, PLO6) and Short Deck (Including Rush & Cash) games.
How to Qualify for the Bad Beat Jackpot
If you’ve satisfied the “Lose Criteria” you’ll be able to win a share of the Bad Beat Jackpot prize pool.
No committed pot amount needed to make the jackpot hand.
Hand must go to showdown.
Both the winner and the loser must use two hole cards to make the best 5 card hand combination. Pocket pairs are required for winner/loser’s four of a kind.
In the case of RIMT (Running It Multiple Times), only the first run will count towards the jackpot
Game Type | Lose Hand Criteria |
---|---|
Hold'em | Aces Full of Tens or Better |
PLO | Four Twos or Better |
PLO5 | Four Eights or Better |
Game Type Plo 6 | Criteria Plo 6 |
Short Deck | Four Sixes or Better |

Bad Beat Jackpot Payout

---|---|
Bad Beat Winner (Pot Loser - 2nd best hand) | 10% |
Bad Beat Opponent (Pot Winner) | 3% |
Rest of Players (Other Pot Losers) | 0.8% Each |
All blinds share the same jackpot payout percentage, despite the jackpot being allocated differently for each blind.
Jackpot prize will be credited directly to your balance
If you have already received your hole cards, rest of players rewards will be given even if you leave the table or are disconnected (even if your hand is automatically folded).
Players who are “sitting out” or players who have not received any hole cards during the Bad Beat Jackpot hand will not receive the “rest of players” rewards.
In Rush & Cash, jackpot will only occur at tables with 6 dealt players.
The Jackpot Fund
Hold’em, PLO, PLO-5, PLO-6, Short Deck, and Rush & Cash will share the same jackpot fund, with its sole purpose being the prize pool for Bad Beat Jackpot hits and its payouts. The jackpot fund will continue to grow by reserving certain amounts from Hold’em, PLO, PLO-5, PLO-6, Short Deck, and Rush & Cash games. In other words, your cash prize for hitting the jackpot will always be waiting!
You can check the Bad Beat Jackpot pool live in the PC client lobby/tables and the mobile client lobby.
Fund Accumulation
For Hold’em, PLO, PLO5, PLO6 Short Deck and Rush & Cash Hold’em & Omaha, if the pot amount exceeds or is equal to 30 big blinds(BTB), the amount equivalent to 1 big blind(BTB) will be reserved for the jackpot fund.
Short Deck will have 1 ante deducted for the jackpot fund for pots over 100 antes.
In Rush & Cash, no amount will be reserved for the jackpot fund in tables with 5 or less dealt players.
